In Orkney over Xmas 2017 with part family, what better way to enjoy Xmas than observe the annual sporting rule free event called the Ba’. Held in Kirkwall between ‘Uppies’ and ‘Doonies’ there may well be over a hundred participants. The event may last for 1 -5 or 6 hours and when the ‘Doonies’ win, as happens here, a dip in the harbour is a pretty cool way to finish
