Floating accommodation on the Delat!

The Mekong Delta 2013

The Mekong Delta was

travelled in style on a

Glasgow designed boat.

The RV Indochina hull was a pre second world war Glasgow design for carrying freight in SE Asia. About 600 of these hulls were built with a very shallow draught. The Burmese scuttled hundreds of them to avoid falling into Japanese hands during WW2. The hull design is outstanding for getting tourists ashore alongside very shallow river banks. This boat, in common with others, had tourist accommodation built on top of the basic hull structure. She was built in the early 90’s.
