After last minute major boat upgrades, we finally managed to sail to Orkney, via Wick Harbour Fest to arrive in time for several days of unseasonal gale force winds. Finally, the wind abated and we were able to get some good sailing combined with the inevitable social intercourse. A pleasant change from previous years’ sailing on the west coast of Scotland.
